Three engagements, each suited to a particular kind of need.

Quillwood Advisers offers three distinct advisory engagements. Each is designed to be complete in itself — defined, deliverable, and useful without requiring a continuing relationship.

Our Methodology

How We Approach Every Engagement

Before the first session of any engagement, we hold a preliminary conversation to understand the client's situation and confirm that the proposed engagement is the right instrument for it. We do not begin work — or invoice — until both sides are satisfied that the engagement is well-defined and well-suited.

Listen first

We begin every engagement by listening carefully — to what the client tells us, and to what the situation itself suggests about what matters most.

Think carefully

Between sessions, we work through what has been discussed. The intervals in an engagement are not idle time; they are part of the analytical process.

Write clearly

Findings are put in writing — in plain language, structured to be read and returned to, without jargon that substitutes for precision.

Service 01

Considered Strategic Review

A thorough examination of the business's current strategic position, conducted at a pace that allows genuine reflection rather than hurried conclusions. We work through market context, internal capabilities, resource allocation, and the stated and implicit priorities guiding current choices.

The engagement produces a written review that the leadership team can sit with and discuss over time. Typical duration is eight weeks, recognising that strategic thinking benefits from being allowed to breathe.

What is included:

  • Three working sessions spread across the engagement
  • Market context and competitive position assessment
  • Internal capability and resource review
  • Written strategic review document delivered at close
  • Follow-up debrief conversation

A document recording the substance of what was discussed and any arrangements reached.

Service 02

Family Business Conversations

For businesses with family involvement in ownership, leadership, or both, this engagement provides facilitated space to discuss matters that family members may find difficult to address without help. We meet with individuals before group sessions, ensuring each voice receives appropriate space.

The focus is on understanding perspectives and finding workable arrangements rather than pushing toward particular outcomes. Engagements typically run across four to six weeks with three to four group sessions.

What is included:

  • Individual preparatory meetings with each participant
  • Three to four facilitated group sessions
  • Bilingual facilitation available (English and Thai)
  • Written summary of discussions and arrangements
  • Closing debrief with the principal contact

Service 03

Written Briefing Preparation

A focused engagement producing a carefully written briefing document on a specific matter requiring leadership's attention — a proposed decision, an emerging situation, a question the leader wants to think through with outside input.

We gather relevant information, analyse it, and prepare a document that presents the matter with appropriate nuance and honesty. Engagements typically run two to three weeks.

What is included:

  • Initial briefing conversation to define the question
  • Information gathering and secondary research
  • Draft document shared before final delivery
  • Final written briefing with clear, referenced analysis
  • One follow-up clarification conversation
